Sycamore State Park Stream Restoration Project
Sycamore State Park Stream Restoration Project was a design build project partnered with Civil & Environmental Consultants (CEC) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC). Bluegrass Stream provided the construction and implementation of design. The Sycamore State Park Project was located in Brookville, Ohio. The restoration project included preservation, enhancement, establishment, and re-establishment of approximately 8500 linear feet of various streams. Various structures included constructed riffles, rock vanes, rock/log native riffles, modified toe wood were used to provide grade control, bank stabilization, and aquatic habitat to the restored watershed. Native trees, shrubs and grasses were planted throughout the riparian corridor of the mitigation site as well. Features: - Approximately 8500 linear feet of stream were preserved, enhanced, established or re-established to the watershed - Approximately 55 acres of wetland grading |
