East Fork Indian Creek Project
The project involves the restoration, including relocation, of approximately 4,500 linear feet of East Fork Indian Creek and tributaries in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Working with U.S. Forestry, the scope of work includes grading of the proposed channel and floodplain, installation of various stream channel and floodplain structures, removal of 4 concrete low water stream crossings, planting of trees and shrubs and native seeding. Structures such as rock cross-vanes, log and rock j-hook vanes, step pools, root wads, boulder clusters, wood toe blanket wraps and constructed riffles are used to improve and provide stability and habitat. |
