East Fork Little Sandy #4 Stream Restoration ProjectClient
Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Location Lawrence County, Kentucky Summary Bluegrass Stream, LLC restored and enhanced approximately 2,900 feet of the East Fork of the Little Sandy. The project consisted of approximately 700 feet of relocation to provide sinuosity to a straightened section of channel using natural channel design techniques, and 2,200 feet of floodplain excavation and bank stabilization that provides adequate floodplain access to the stream. Rock cross vanes, constructed riffles, rock toe, and log vanes along with root wads provide sediment transport and potential aquatic habitat.
